- This could be a set text, essay or question, analytical writing, quotations, interpretations or exam technique.
- Does everyone study the same text?
- No. Students can work on their own text and individual area of focus, with guidance and feedback from me. Where there's a shared skill or challenge, we'll work on this together.
- How often do I need to attend?
- As often or as little as you need. There is no weekly commitment. Simply book a Clinic when some extra Literature support would be helpful.

Each masterclass focuses on a key text or exam skill, breaking down what examiners are looking for and, importantly, giving students the opportunity to put this into practice during the session. Are you qualified?
Yes, I’m a fully qualified teacher with extensive classroom and online tutoring experience. I hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), a current DBS check, and have held leadership roles throughout my career. I’m proud to have a proven track record of delivering outstanding academic results.
How will I know what progress my child is making?
Yes – all tutors within the HWL Expert Tuition Network are experienced professionals who have been fully vetted. Many hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or have specialist subject expertise, and all are DBS checked. We use TutorCruncher to manage bookings, payments, and lesson reports, ensuring everything is transparent and easy to access. Depending on their individual teaching style, some tutors also send follow-up emails, voice notes, or additional resources to support your child’s learning between lessons.
Do you offer online or face to face?
I offer online lessons via Zoom. All resources are sent out prior to the lesson.

Yes, many tutors offer lessons throughout the holidays.
Can I have a fortnightly lesson?
I do have some fortnightly slots available. Fortnightly sessions only work if your child is motivated and willing to do independent work in the week that they don't have a lesson.

I have experience of working with children who have a range of needs and I am therefore able to adapt my teaching and resources to support children of all abilities.
How do I book a class/pay for my tuition?
We use TutorCruncher to manage all payments. Parents are invoiced in advance for a block of lessons, typically covering a half-term. This makes the process simple and transparent, ensuring your child’s place is secured and lessons are scheduled smoothly.
What are your terms and conditions?
