A 10-minute English check-in to start Year 11 with clarity, confidence and a plan. Starting Year 11 can feel overwhelming. There is suddenly a lot of talk about mock exams, GCSEs and revision, but before students start doing more, it is important that they understand where they are now and what actually needs their attention. The Year 11 English Reset is a short, guided reflection designed to help students pause, look back at Year 10 and identify their priorities for English Language and English Literature. Rather than giving students another revision checklist, this resource encourages them to think honestly about their confidence, strengths, gaps and study habits before turning those reflections into a simple action plan. Inside the reset, students will: reflect on their progress and experiences in Year 10 assess their confidence across key English Language skills identify strengths and gaps in English Literature recognise the habits or difficulties that may be holding them back choose clear priorities for the start of Year 11 create their own September English action plan set an intention for the student they want to become by the end of Year 11 Who is it for?
